Tony Davis, President ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Greets guests in a professional hospitable manner.
Properly assign rooms based on room location, rate, room selling strategies, guaranteed room types, Marriott Reward Members, or group status.
Issues room key and escort instructions to Bellhop.
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Have daily knowledge of groups or functions in-house and local current events.
Understand qualified discounts, their availability and application of vouchers.
Accurately handle future and same day reservation or take walk-in guests.
Check-in and check-out guests in knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and friendly manner.
Assist guests with safe deposit box use at the Front Desk.
Post, correct or adjust charges to guest accounts as necessary.
Be knowledgeable of hotel credit, cash-in advance and check cashing procedures.
Maintain and complete Front Desk reports.
Maintain accuracy in cash handling procedures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
