Job Summary
Position directs and supports the property based Human Resources department as it relates to all phases of the attraction, recruitment and retention efforts throughout the property. Focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of associates and enable business success; ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and PCH operating procedures.
Supervises the Recruitment office and recruiters.
Ensures the open position listing is in visible location for both internal and external candidates and is updated in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources e.g., state job service, local colleges, recruiting agencies and community based organizations.Attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
Networks with local organizations (e.g., Hotel Association, and peers to source candidates for current or future openings).
Monitors applicant flow and new hire activity of minorities and women.
Ensures interviews are conducted according to recommended guidelines, consistent screening criteria is used, and only job-related questions are asked.
Oversees the selection/non-selection and offer processes to ensure proper procedures are followed e.g., valid reasons for selection/non-selection are stated on screening cards and applicants receive status notifications.
Ensures drug screening and background checks are completed.
Ensures the area designated for completing employment applications is clean, well maintained and accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Oversees the advertisement of open positions in appropriate venues to attract a diverse candidate pool.Ensures advertising logbook is maintained and employment ads comply with EEO laws and regulations.
Works to surface candidates for open positions at the property.
Is responsible to create a property based succession planning program via a gap analysis process that will allow us to identify current and future management staffing challenges.
Conducts at a minimum an annual labor needs analysis for location.Establishes attraction and retention strategies based on analysis.
Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources e.g., state job service, colleges, recruiting agencies and community based organizations.Coordinates and attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor Degree preferred
Society of Human Resource Management Certification preferred
Previous Human Resources and Hospitality Recruitment experience preferred."

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
